In an era where sustainability is not just an option but a responsibility, we are pleased to present our Sustainability Report for the year 2022.
This report marks another significant step in our journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future.
It provides an in-depth look at our sustainability initiatives, highlighting our achievements and the areas where we aim to improve.
Key Highlights of the Sustainability Report 2022:
- Eco-friendly Innovations: We have made significant strides in introducing eco-friendly innovations in our production processes. We implemented measures for energy efficiency in our production facilities and optimized water resource usage, resulting in a total energy consumption decrease of 11% compared to 2021. Additionally, we increased the utilization of sustainable or recycled yarns in our collections.
- Transparency and Governance: We are continually enhancing corporate transparency and governance. In November 2022, we updated our Code of Ethics and formalized our Company Policy, reaffirming our commitment to competitiveness in the market and working professionally to deliver high-quality products. This commitment is aligned with legal compliance, environmental sustainability, and health and safety at work.
- Social Responsibility: Our employees are our most valuable asset. We have invested in the training and development of our employees, fostering a safe and inclusive work environment. Additionally, we have maintained a strong dedication to the local community, supporting social projects and initiatives. Notably, we initiated the Academy Project, a pilot training program in partnership with the Starting Work Institute. This program aims to provide selected young people with targeted skills to work in the Como textile district.
- Circular Economy: We are taking steps to embrace the principles of the circular economy. By promoting recycling and reducing waste, we are working towards a more sustainable textile industry.
